So I haven't been on LJ for a while, and decided to try some new things here on LJ! So I added a song! The song is called "Daughters" by John Mayer and I think it's a beutiful song.. It reminds me on how good my relationship with my father is. Well I think it's a pretty song and I'm gonna add more songs after awhile.

Well it's a pretty song..

A little update on my pup!

Buffy is very happy as the snow is dissapearing and he can stay on the porch looking at the people, animals and vehicles pass by.
He's also still as happy whenever someone comes to visit!
BTW Buffys homepage is going to be on my homepage as he'll get his own little corner of fun!
He's still as cute and will always be that cute!!

An update on me!

Well I'm happy too since the snow is dissapearing aswell, because I'm tired of the snow and cold, and I enjoy being on the porch with my pup!! My homepage is getting a COMPLETE makeover! I've recently joined a norwegian site and it's for pet owners.. So that's pretty cool:)
And I've gotten my dad hooked on yet another show.. He likes Xena too. It's crazy! I got him hooked on 7th Heaven, then Touched By An Angel, and now Xena Warrior Princess.. I can hardly believe it!!

So I just added a song and I'm waiting for TBAA to come on..

Bye!!

OK, So I got to church, knowing I'm supposed to be reading something there, and I'm all nervous and I am not sure if I can handle it, Though the peptalk from my cousin helped alot!! Luckily my friend Marie is also doing a part... That calmed me down a bit... Though I was quickly shocked again when the priest said that I was going to do 2 parts... So Marie and I went off to practice, I was so nervous, but luckily I only had to to one part as someone took the role of saying the prayer..
Here Is What we did:

A Bit About Easterhaggada:

A Christian version of the old jewish easter meal where we are reminded and see how God saved Israels people from slavery in Egypt and lead them blessed through the water.

Easterhaggada:

A Christian version of the old jewish easter meal where we are reminded and see how God saved Israels people from slavery in Egypt and lead them blessed through the water.

The people of Israel never forgot this. They sang about the incidents in their psalms. They told the stories again and again to their children. Generasion to generasion they did the same. T ate the Easter Lamb. Sang the psalms. Told the stories.

The stories of the easter lamb and the ocean also say us something about what God does to bless us today, through the reminders (the word), the last meal and the baptism.

A) What is the easterhaggada??
Psach is jewish word for easter and is celebrated in connection with "The Un-Carbonated Breads Holiday".
The easterhaggada is the ritual thats used for easter-eve to remember the escape from Egypt.

The Traditional Easter Dinner Is Made Like This:
The Father of the house leads the meal. In front of him theres a plate with a bunch of different ingridients on it. The ingridients have a special symbolsm: Three Un-Carbonated Bread is a symbol for rushing, Bitter Herbs (mostly Pepperroot) is a symbol of the jewish people's sufferings in egypt, salt-water is a symbol for tears and the ocean-wonder, Green Parsley is a symbol of spring, but also a symbol of the time when the people of Israel dypped in the blood and put it on their doors. A salad of apples, cinnamon and vinniger with oil is a symbol of the camp that the Egyptions forced the people of Israel to work with, a lamb is a symbol of the easterlamb and a hard-cooked egg is a symbol of the joy and the new life.

During the meal they sing "Big Hallell" (psalm 113-118) like Jesus did himself the night he had the last meal (see Matt 26,30).  During the meal the father of the house answers questions from the youngest son of the house.

B) Our Easier Liturgy:

We made an easier version of the easterhaggada. It works on the main elements of the jewish ritual, but is a bit changed with thought of a christian easter celebration.

Our menu is simpler than the original one. Every member gets:
-A piece pepperroot
-Two pieces parsley
-A little glass salt water
-A piece of bread with eggs
-Red Wine (Non-alcoholic alter wine)

The Meal is buildt around 4 glasses of wine and four questions by the youngest son:
-How did the people feel in Egypt?
*Cup Of Pain*
-Did God Forget His people?
*Cup Of Love*
-How did the people escape Egypt?
*Cup Of Blessings*
-What does this mean for me today?
*Cup Of Hope*

INTRO

1.Light Candles

2.Father Of The House:
Moses led the people out of Egypt and home to the land they had been dreaming of. When they got the message tat they were leaving, they were ready. They packed their things in a rush. And then they left. Ready, Set, Go! And what they experienced, they would never forget.

In the same way Moses led the people of Israel out of slavery and death, Jesus is doing the same for us, and is leading us into life and joy. Ready, Set, Go!

3.The third oldest:
Let Us Pray:
Blessed are thee, our Lord and God, who lead the people of Israel out of Egypt. They killed the lamb and were saved from  death. They later went dryfooted across the sea, blessed through the water. In a similar way we are blessed today. For you, Jesus, are Gods sacrificed lamb, who carries all of our synds and baptism is our way in to you. You, Lord, have given us life and keep us.You are forever. Amen.

4.Song:

When Israel was in Egypts land, Let my people go. Oppressed so hard they could not stand,Let my people go. Go down, Moses, way down in Egypts land, tell ol' Pharaoh, Let my people go.

Thus saith the Lord, bold Moses said, Let my people go. If not I smite your first-born dead.Let my people go. Go down, Moses, way down in Egypts land, tell ol' Pharaoh, Let my people go.

No more shall they in bondage toil, Let my people go. let them come out with Egypts spoil, Let my people go.Go down, Moses, way down in Egypts land, tell ol' Pharaoh, Let my people go.

(during the song we fill the first cup)

CUP OF PAIN

5.Youngest (Marie) asks question nr.1:
How did the people feel in Egypt?

6.Father Of House:
The Egyptians were cruel to the people of Israel. They tortured them by forcing them to work. They made the life to the people of Israel sour. the people of Israel  had to work at the campgrounds with all kind of dirty work. The people were in Pain. They complained to God and cried bitter tears. (from 2.Mos. 1,11-14) Lets eat the bitter herb to remember the slavery and suffering.

7."bitter herbs"
(everyone eats the bitter herb, pepperroot)

8.First Cup
Father of house:
Lets drink the cup of pain. pain and unhappiness will always be a part of life.
(everyone drinks first cup)

9.Father Of House:
the people of Israel called on God in their need. We shall also call on God in our need. The people of Israel sing in psalm 116.

10.The second youngest (me):
The chains of death wrapped around me. The kingdom of deaths fears grabbed me, I only found need and sorrow. Then I called for the Lord: " Oh, Lord, Save My Life". (v 3-4)

11. Song:
You Gods lamb, who carries all our synds, watch over us.
You Gods lamb, who carries all our synds, watch over us.
You Gods lamb, who carries all our synds, Give us Peace.

(during the song we fill the second glass)

CUP OF LOVE

12.The Youngest (Marie) asks question nr.2:
Did God forget his people?

13.Father Of The House:
No, God did not forget his people. Because the Lord told Moses:
I have seen how much pain my people are in Egypt. I know what they have to suffer. I have rised down to free them from the Egyptians and will lead them to a land of milk and honey. be ready to leave.
Do it this way:

14.The oldest reads:
2.Mos.12,1.3.5.7.11

15. The second oldest reads:
2.Mos. 12, 21-23
(father shows how the blood on the doors work)

16. The blood on the door:
the destroyer will not let in. the lambs blood protects us. let us all dip the parsley in the wine to remember the blood on the doors. (everyone does that) We draw a cross. (everybody draws a cross on their hand) And we eat the gift God has given us.(everyone eats the parsley)

17.Second Cup
Father Of the House:
God did not forget his people. Lets drink the cup of love in thanks and happiness for the caring God shows us.
(everyone drinks the second cup)

18.Father Of house:
The Lord heard his people when they begged and prayed. Gods love knows no boundries. We can therefore thank God like the people of Israel do in psalm 116.

19.The second youngest (me):
I love the Lord, because he heard me when I begged and prayed. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him for as long as I shall live. (v 1-2)

20.Song:

Holy, holy, holy, is Lord Seabaot,
All earth is full of his wonder, Hosianna in the highest,
blessed be thee who comes, In the name of the Lord.
Hosianna in the highest.

(during the song we fill the third cup)

CUP OF BLESSINGS

21.Youngest (Marie) asks question nr.3:
How did the people escape Egypt?

22.Father Of House:
God saved his people through water. The Egyptians followed the people of Israel with their entire army. Pharaoh caught up with them at Pi-Hakirot. They had set camp by the ocean. people were terrified. They were squised between the mountain and the ocean. then Moses said: "Do not be afraid. Stand there and see how the Lord will save you today, The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall be silent." Then It Happened.

23. the oldest reads:
2.Mos. 14,31-25

24.The second oldest reads:
2.Mos.14,26-31

25.Father Of House:
The water pulled back, The people of Israel could go dryfooted across the sea. they were trapped in a deathtrap, but God stepped in and saved them. They were calm. the Lord was fighting for them. In the same way we are saved from death when er are baptised in water and spirit. Jesus went through suffering and death to form a path towards God for all who believe and gets baptised. We shall be calm. The Lord will fight for us. Lets eat the parsley that we dip in saltwater, to remember about the time Israel were saved through the water, and at the same time to remember our baptism.

26."saltwater"
(everybody dips and eats the parsley)

27.Third cup
Father of the house:
Lets drink the cup of blessings in thanks for Gods gifts to us.
(everyone drinks the wine in the third cup)

28. Father of house:
Vi shall be silent. The Lord will fight for us. We shall believe we are in good hands when we belong to Jesus. In psalm 116, the people of Israel sing of their safety to God.

29. The second youngest (me) reads:
Fall to peace again my soul, for the Lord has done well to you, Yes, you saved my life from death, my eye from tears, my foot from fall. I shall wander in the sight of God in the land of the living. (v 7-9)

30. Song:

Oh, Moses, the cloud shall cleave the way, Let my people go. a fire by night, a shade by day, Let my people go.Go down, Moses, way down in Egypts land, tell ol' Pharaoh, Let my people go.

Your foes shall not before you stand, Let my people go. And you'll possess fair Canaan's land. Let my people go. Go down, Moses, way down in Egypts land, tell ol' Pharaoh, Let my people go.

(during the song we fill the fourth cup)

CUP OF HOPE

31.The youngest (Marie) asks question nr.4:
I understand that the sea-crossing points towards the baptism and the easterlamb points toward the last meal. But what does this mean for me today?

32.father of the house:
It means that theres hope. When we feel pressured  to do something you don't want to do, God shows us a way like he did for the people of Israel. When we feel like things are going tough and we experience sorrow and feel like were losing, God says that we shall be calm. thats the message the people of Israel got when they were trapped between the mountain and the sea. When we synd against Gods will, we can use Jesus as our sacrifice lamb. He zones all our synds. Belief in Jesus gives us hope in the middle of hopeless-ness. Jesus says:

33.The oldest reads:
Come to me those who struggle and bear heaviness, I shall give you rest (Matt. 11,28)

34. The second oldest reads:
For so highly God has loved the world, that he gave his son, the one and only, so that every soul that believes in him, shall not get lost, but live forever. (joh.3,16)

35."The egg and the bread"
Father Of The House:
Jesus gives us future and hope. The egg is the symbol of the new life that Jesus gives us when he rises from the dead. The bread is a symbol of the friendship with Jesus and all who believe in him. So lets eat the egg and the bread, and when we do that, we shall think of the baptism and the last meal are symbols of Jesus meeting us in our everyday life and call us to faith and service. Jesus asks us if we're ready for break up? ready for work? For he wants us to walk the path he created through a bunch of death traps. We eat the egg and the bread in thanks for the new life Jesus gives, and in happiness of the friendship of those who believe.
(everyone eats the egg and bread)

36. Fourth Glass
Father Of the House:
Lets drink the Cup Of Hope
(everyone drinks the fourth cup)

37. Then we sang another song... But since its so long I will not write down the song

OK, I've spendt hours translating this, so I'll just bash through the rest...

After the song we had a real dinner with normal food, and could talk about regular things

later we gathered in the church...and sayd goodbye..

This was on thurday, but since I finished it on Friday I can say:

Happy Good Friday!!
